The Biru is an inspired all-mountain board that defies one definition. Featuring a volume-shifted shape, medium flex, and full-camber profile, this little devil is as playful in pow as it is poppy and powerful on piste. A shovel nose paired with a compact fish tail delivers heroic float, while the wide waist width and snappy sidecut beg you to carve every turn. Now for 2027, the Biru’s wood core features cross grain DrivePads for enhanced edge hold and response.

Shape Features
Volume-shifted shape with a shovel nose, fish tail, and wide waist. The tail tapers outside the effective edge to balance powerful carving and nimble powder performance.
Full-camber profile for predictable control and edge hold with a tiny bit of early rise in the nose for float and easy turn initiation. Steep kick in the tail for confident switch riding.
Features & Construction
Core + Drive Pads
Lightweight, durable Poplar and Paulownia core with two full-length Ash stringers for a damp board feel. Cross-grain Drive Pads under the bindings for added response and edge power.
Construction
Triax fiberglass with carbon X stringers above the core for crazy pop and ollie power, plus carbon torsion rods in the nose and tail under the core for torsional stiffness and energy transfer.
Base
Ultra-fast Durasurf 4001 sintered base that offers supreme durability and exceptional glide in all snow conditions. High molecular weight for core-shot resistance and excellent wax absorption.
Topsheet / Sidewalls / Edges
Chip-resistant TPU plastic topsheet with a gloss finish. Impact-resistant PU plastic sidewalls with diamond-polished, lightly detuned steel edges. Edge angles: -1° Bottom, 88° Side
Flex Profile
Medium flex that’s stiffest at the center of the sidecut for unmatched edge hold and carving power. Outside the inserts, the flex gradually softens for easy turn initiation and a playful tip feel.
Sidecut + Power Bumps
Nimble, snappy sidecut that gets slightly tighter in the tail for quick acceleration out of turns. Power Bumps improve edge grip and carving power on firm snow and icy groomers.

I tried out and then bought the Stranda Biru for women, and I just have to share my experience!
What an amazing board. Honestly, I've stayed away from women’s specific models from big brands over the past few years because the ones I’ve tried just haven’t been able to perform the way I wanted them to.
So, I’ve been riding boards designed for men instead.
But no more!
I got the chance to try a few boards when I was on the hunt for a new pow slayer. My old favorite, the Burton, just wasn’t cutting it anymore.
First, I tried another high end board from a well known brand. It was good, but it felt a bit big, boxy, and hard to maneuver. So, I went back to the shop, and the team there introduced me to this blue-purple, volume-shifted, shaped devil of a board. I had never heard of Stranda before. .. and had no idea about the Biru model. But I trusted the process.
And it was love at first ride! The board felt so trustworthy, inviting, and stable. By my second run, I was able to really commit to my carves — something I’ve never been able to do at that speed before. It’s fast, really fast, but without losing stability.
On the second day, I took it off-piste, and if I wasn’t in love before, I sure was now!
The board is incredibly smooth. The wide nose and small fish tail offer an amazing surf-like feeling while the board stays extremely flexible and quick, especially around trees and obstacles.
It was a completely new experience for me — riding a board that was amazing at floating in the pow, but also nimble and precise! It completely exceeded my expectations and gave me a level of confidence I didn’t know I was missing.
So if you’re an advanced snowboarder looking for a new directional board that can handle everything the mountain throws at you — from eating up powder to slaying icy groomers — this is the board for you. You won’t regret it, I promise! I will love this board until the day it's time for her to retire due to heavy use!
