The Tree Surfer Backcountry is your split for effortless float and surf on the deepest days. The fishtail sinks and steer in powder and windpacked without all the drawbacks of a bigger swallowtail. It’s groundbreaking hammerhead nose makes it go through thick crust like a tank, and opens up a track for the rest of the board to follow in. The Tree Surfer split comes with a scratchresistant plant based polyamid topsheet and aluminium tip and tail protectors. It’s made to be ridden hard and for many seasons. It was choosen as a Gear Guide Select 2021 splitboard by Backcountry Magazine, USA.

Profile
We build our snowboards with classic camber and Tip-Tail-Rocker. We distinguish between standard camber and low camber: with low camber, the centre of the board is slightly elevated and the contact points are further towards the centre. The Tree Surfer Backcountry has 6 mm camber.
core
At Stranda Snowboards we use ash wood and a minor part poplar in our cores. Ash is perfect for building high-performance snowboards as it dampens vibrations and holds its camber, extending the life of your board. Adding poplar keeps the weight down. Choosing a premium material also allowed us to reduce the use of petroleum-based composites.

Have been riding this board for a week now in the swedish backcountry and it does not disappoint! Stable at higher speeds but still surfy. Excellent service from Stranda as well who lent me a pair of bindings for the week since they were out of stock!

really good splitboard, probably one of the best i ever tried. Hight performance in all conditions (powder or crusty snow). If you love freeride and powder you got to love this board. The “Tree surfer backcountry” is a handy and solid splitboard with wich you will have so much fun. Excellent maneuverability, perfect flow in powder, fast and accurate, i strongly recommend it…

It’s hard to express my happiness when riding this board. Absolutely rips in powder, incredible float, minimal back leg fatigue, turns on a dime and you can lay out some huge fat turns too, eats crust for breakfast. What I wasn’t prepared for was the effortless carving ability on piste, I now ride this splitboard in bounds on groomers instead of my other brand solid set ups because it just holds that edge and carve so perfectly, really brought back the enjoyment of riding and carving around resorts, it’s so much fun everywhere I take it. 100% have recommend to all my friends.
