Above the Arctic Circle, in Swedish Lapland, there is a well kept secret hiding. The Kebnekaise, the highest peak in Sweden (2106m) with 1400 verts to ride. Elevation may be modest but the verticals for sure are not! The surrounding mountains are an amazing splitboarding playground due to it’s remoteness and terrain. There is a cliché in southern Europe that the swedish mountains are just hills… but here, you’ll find everything from the mellow, beginner friendly runs, to split mountaineering terrain with sharp ridges, deep couloirs and steep terrain.
We can promise you a consistent and reliable splitboarding experience with absolutely zero fighting for great snow. We are staying at the Tarfala mountain cabin and the Kebnekaise Lodge which is located just under the foothills of Kebnekaise, the highest peak of Sweden. The hut where we will spend most of the time is placed in Tarfalavagge, one of the most beautiful valleys in the massif. This is a unique remote lodge location. We’re arranging this trip in cooperation with Upguides who have great local knowledge of the area.
The riding is by no means extreme, just enough demanding to push you a bit. For us it’s all about the group as a whole and that everyone should have an enjoyable experience.
