The Bullet Train

Made for high speed carving

The Pipeliner 2.0 is an extraordinary carving snowboard that offers a pure longboard feel to the experienced rider. Flaunting a whopping 1524 mm of effective edge and a long multi-radial sidecut, the Pipeliner 2.0 is a well-behaved beast that wants to rail turns down wide open slopes. If you’re a carving fanatic who’s in touch with your edges and lives for locking into huge train-track-style carves, look no further. This is your Shinkansen.

Performance Profile

Shape Features

Directional shape with a blunt nose and 13mm of tail taper. Paired with a variable sidecut, the shape delivers quick turn initiation while staying calm and drawn-out mid-turn – the snap of a tight sidecut with the stability of a longer one.

Stranda Snowboards directional camber profile with early rise.

Setback full-camber profile for predictable control and edge hold. Early rise in the nose for busting through crust and easy turn initiation.

Core

Damp and responsive Ash core with Poplar stringers for weight savings and a lively board feel.

Construction

Triax fiberglass with carbon A-frames running under the core from the inserts to the wide points of the nose and tail for enhanced torsional stiffness and lightning-fast energy transfer.

Base

Hyper-fast and durable Electra Graphite 5920 sintered base infused with graphite to improve glide and stone-ground with a structure optimised for groomed and man-made snow.

Topsheet / Sidewalls / Edges

Bamboo topsheet with a gloss finish. Impact-resistant ABS plastic sidewalls with diamond-polished, lightly detuned steel edges. Edge angles: -1° Bottom, 88° Side

Flex Profile

Medium stiff flex that’s stiffest at the center of the sidecut for unmatched edge hold and carving power. Outside the inserts, the flex gradually softens for easy turn initiation and a looser tip feel.

Sidecut

Multi-radial sidecut that’s slightly tighter in the nose and tail for quicker turn initiation, and longer between the inserts for stability and power trenching big turns with high edge angles at speed.

I'm 6'4, 205 lbs, with size 12 boots, and the Pipeliner 2.0 feels like it was made custom for me. Technically, my size 12s could still boot out, but I think it will be a couple years before I get good enough to make booting out a problem. This season it just felt like no matter how far I tipped the Pipeliner 2.0 over on its side, it kept pushing back asking for more angle & more edge pressure. This will take my carving to the next level (*insert days/years of practice here). A caveat: friends of mine wanted to take me off-piste to some narrow cat tracks and tree runs because they were board of ripping groomers. The Pipeliner does not like to speed check or skid it's turns. Make sure you are ready and familiar with this deck before taking it into this type of terrain; I had several near misses during this side quest.

highly accessible soul carving board. Ideal for laying a trench with little effort required, simply tip it over and let the sidecut rail you. A standout for this board is its effective edge in contrast to its overall length, you can effectively shift your weight fore/aft and use the entire board to control your turn radius and edge pressure. Through some dust and crust the nose will push through without much issue, but it can get tracked out in choppier conditions. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a low effort-high return carving snowboard that you can ride all day without huge fatigue like you might find on more custom high performance oriented titanal boards.

Based on a super great purchase experience I just had. Can’t wait to take this board out for early bird corduroy.
