I really enjoy riding the Bowlrider 2.0. I am 188cm, 80kg and US9.5 boots. The 165 fits me just right. I got to ride it in a wide variety of conditions over a week in the austrian alps. Anything from slushy spring snow, firm groomers and 25 cm of fresh pow. It is a very stable and smooth ride in bumpy terrain and at speed. It has great float in powder without having to weigh in on the back foot too much. The carving potential is great as it has very good grip and an ease in and out of turns. It also has a decent amount of pop to olly over natural features. I feel there is a lot more potential in the board that I am not currently able to access with my ability level (intermediate/advanced). Yet it is neither catchy nor bucky or anything. Very approachable. The only negative I can say is that the deck is a little more sensitive (high-gloss wood) than the usual deck you get from most other brands. Overall I am very satisfied with the board for what I want from it (easy carving, good speed, fun in pow).

The Stranda Bowlrider 2.0 165W has quickly became one of my favorite boards for fast freeride days and carving laps. The first thing I noticed was how stable the board feels at speed. It has a really solid, confidence inspiring ride and holds an edge extremely well on groomers. When you lay into a carve it just locks in and feels powerful without being overly demanding. Where the Bowlrider really shines is in open terrain and bowls. The longer effective edge and directional shape make it feel incredibly smooth when charging steeper lines or wide open runs. It stays composed even when the snow gets a bit choppy, and the damping helps keep the ride comfortable later in the day. It’s also surprisingly versatile. While it clearly favors freeride and carving, it still handles variable snow and softer conditions well. The wider platform on the 165W is great for riders with bigger boots and allows you to really drive the board through turns without worrying about toe or heel drag. If you enjoy carving hard, riding fast, and exploring bowls or steeper terrain, it’s a fantastic board. Overall, the Bowlrider 2.0 165W feels like a powerful, well built freeride board that rewards confident riding and aggressive turns.

Bought the Bowlrider 2.0 165w for 4 week Japan trip and then be able to use it back in Aus (hence the BR not the Tree Surfer. It was amazing at everything from deep powder days (1.2m overnight) to chunky groomers. Whether focusing on powder or slushy groomers later in the day I Highly recommend this board it's so much fun.

I got my beautiful Bowlrider 65 (wow—the craftsmanship and build quality) earlier this year, but I only rode it once before heading over to Hokkaido for a couple of weeks in January. I’m 6 ft, 190 lb, with size 10 US feet and 27.5 boots (the 260 mm waist was perfect for me). I thought the Bowlrider 65 would be a chill powder board, but it’s really an all-mountain charger and daily driver that wants to attack. It’s great for mellow powder turns, nimble enough for deep trees, and has plenty of substance and dampness to charge through bumpy leftovers late on a pow day and through steep, aggressive terrain. It’s also amazing in very deep conditions—pillows, drops, and chutes—and it always rises back to the top thanks to that big nose. It’s also hungry for corduroy and loves to carve hard and ride fast. I got it on some perfect, soft Japanese groomers, and it surprised me with its carving ability (even with a wide freeride 23.75” stance at 18f/-6r) and how damp it felt, despite the giant powder nose—quiet enough that I never even noticed it. I love my Bowlrider 65 and would recommend getting one yourself. The only con is that the natural top sheet is more prone to chipping and scratching than plastic. (Do a few battle scars really matter?)
