Biru Snowboard

I got the 1st generation Biru this summer, and only ridden in at my local Snow dome, so excited for this coming winter to get out onto the resorts with it . Other boards are a Stranda Shorty 164w and a Ride Peace Seeker 151 . I decided not to downsize on the board , as I am used to riding the Shorty, and like the longer effective edge . First thoughts was , this board is wide, and felt a bit slow from edge to edge. After a couple of runs, got a feel for the Biru, and started riding more aggressively. This opened up a whole can of Whoop Ass !! My god, this board is amazing. Transferring more weight into the turns and getting them power bumps on the edges to lock in, your being sent back up the slope on the exit of your turns!! The Biru has been unleashed, and I’m loving every minute of it . It’s a board that rewards you the more you push it . My carving has improved so much in the time owning this board, I’m sure it’s the added security of the power bumps that just hold the edge in like it’s on rails. I was well impressed with my Shorty for all mountain riding, and it will get used on deep pow days and afternoons when I want to cruise around the resort. But the Biru will be on the 1st lift in the morning, ready to unleash a tonne of Raddness. I’m looking forward to seeing reviews on how the new Biru compares, but if you can find a great deal on the 1st generation Biru , just buy it, you won’t regret it . I've been snowboarding for more than 20 years, and when I first rode the Biru a few years ago, I couldn't believe how good it was. This board is an absolute weapon. It carves effortlessly on groomers, floats beautifully in Japow, handles heavy concrete powder with confidence, and has all the speed you'll ever need when it's time to open it up. Whether you're charging steep lines, weaving through trees, or heading for the jumps, the Biru delivers. In fact, it feels most at home when you start pushing it harder. In short, this board does it all. A true masterpiece

Everything is already said and true. .. . Welcome adition to the quiver. For me THE ride on cloudy days (low visability) , not prefectly groomed slopes, overnight pow and familie rides. Perfect for indoor use to! Almost ride it as much as the Shorty, but the Shorty still is my favorite deck. Next season the Slicer will be added for carving on some narrower European slopes. I picked up the Stranda Biru 157 last season and after riding it in a mix of conditions, it’s easily become one of my favorite all-mountain freeride boards. What stood out right away was how balanced the board feels. It has a really nice blend of stability and playfulness. On groomers it carves extremely well — the edge hold feels solid and the board feels very stable when you pick up speed. It has enough camber to give you that locked-in carving feel without being overly demanding. In softer snow and powder it performs really well for a directional all-mountain board. The nose floats nicely and it handles chopped powder and variable snow without getting bucked around. It’s also surprisingly maneuverable in trees and tighter terrain, which made it a great choice for days when I was riding all over the mountain instead of just chasing powder. Another thing I liked is how damp and smooth the ride feels. Even later in the day when the snow gets tracked out, the board stays predictable and comfortable. It’s not really a dedicated park board, but it can still handle side hits and natural features without feeling stiff or awkward. Overall, the Biru feels like a really well-rounded freeride board that can handle almost anything on the mountain. After a full season on it, I’d definitely recommend it to riders looking for something stable, versatile, and fun to carve.

This Really a one quiver board. . Il have à Jones Stratos to guive m'y cours but that Biru do IT all better . Il like IT the way IT hold to close m'y turn on all kind off surface.

I'm 175lbs, 6'1''' size 11.5 boots. Just got the 157 and rode it near Montreal on a hard pack, icy but grippy groomers, end of season day. From the very first run I could feel the spring out of turns and the grip in icier sections. I like the 7.1m radius for a change, allows you to go edge to egde quickly but you can also carve huge S turns from one side of the slope to the next. This board is never leaving my quiver.

Extremely happy with the Biru. I’m an intermediate rider, 1.82 m, 90 kg, size 43 boots. Took the 157 and fits perfect. Thanks to Mats and the team! Also to Lars for the recommendation.

Fun board! One of the best or the best Volume Shifted board on the market

This is it. This is the one. It's the best board I've ever ridden—a true masterpiece of shred. It absolutely devours powder, lays down trenches on the corduroy, and has so much snap it feels like it's trying to throw me into the next dimension. My daily driver for life.

There is something about the Biru that I keep coming back to, it has allowed me to improve my carving in many ways, from sliding turns to riding like lars/mats. Something about its side cut radius, snowboard profile and edge hold that just unlock a carver's high. It makes you feel like you are riding waves on snow. The biru had made me hooked to stranda to the point where I have got myself a shorty for the longer side cut radius for steeper terrains. Highly recommended. Ride it, you'll never turn to other boards again.
