From public sources: for example public business contact information or social media content where relevant to our relationship with you.

Cookies may be set by Stranda or by third parties that provide services to us, such as analytics, advertising, payment, ecommerce, embedded media or social media providers.
Where required by law – which includes the EU/EEA and Sweden – we ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies. You can change your cookie preferences through our cookie banner or browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect website functionality, including checkout, account login or personalization.

fulfilling, supporting and improving the handling of orders, deliveries, returns, refunds and warranty claims;
-
preventing fraud and protecting our customers, payment flows, systems and business from misuse or security threats;

Before relying on a legitimate interest, we balance it against your rights and freedoms. You can object to processing based on our legitimate interests at any time (see section 12), and we will stop unless we have compelling legitimate grounds to continue or need the data for legal claims.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before the withdrawal.
6. Automated decision-making and profiling
We use cookie- and analytics-based tools to personalise content and to measure the relevance of advertising, as described in sections 4 and 5. We do not make decisions that produce legal effects concerning you, or that similarly significantly affect you, based solely on automated processing, including profiling, within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR. If this changes, we will update this notice and, where required, obtain your consent or put appropriate safeguards in place.
7. Marketing communications
If you subscribe to our newsletter or otherwise opt in to marketing, we may send you emails about Stranda products, launches, events, offers, content and similar updates. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us.

9. International transfers
Stranda is based in Sweden and sells to customers in multiple countries. Your personal data may therefore be processed in Sweden, elsewhere in the EU/EEA, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada and other countries where we, our partners or our service providers operate.
Where we transfer personal data outside the EU/EEA to a country that does not provide an equivalent level of protection, we rely on a lawful transfer mechanism. Depending on the recipient and destination, this may include:
-
an adequacy decision of the European Commission for the destination country;
-
for transfers to the United States, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified under it;
-
the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), combined with additional technical and organisational safeguards where needed; or
-
another lawful transfer mechanism permitted under applicable law.
You can request more information about these transfers and a copy of the relevant safeguards by contacting us using the details in section 18.
10. How long we keep personal data
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
Typical retention periods include:
-
Order, accounting and tax records: retained as required by applicable bookkeeping, tax and consumer protection laws (in Sweden, accounting records are generally kept for seven years).
-
Customer account data: retained while the account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards, unless deletion is requested and no legal reason requires retention.

We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data from accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access. These measures may include access controls, encryption, secure payment processing, backups, security monitoring and limitations on who can access personal data.

If you are in Sweden, the relevant supervisory authority is Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY). If you are located elsewhere in the EU/EEA, you may contact your local data protection authority. If you are in the United Kingdom, you may contact the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO); if you are in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
13. Rights for California and other U.S. residents
If you are a resident of California or another U.S. state with applicable privacy rights, you may have additional rights, such as the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; the right to request deletion or correction; the right to opt out of certain sharing or targeted advertising; and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
We do not knowingly sell personal information for money. Some advertising or analytics activities may be considered “sharing” or “targeted advertising” under certain U.S. privacy laws. Where applicable, you can manage these choices through our cookie settings, browser controls, platform settings or by contacting us.
14. Children
Our website and products are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16 without appropriate consent. Under Swedish law, the minimum age at which a child can consent to information society services under Article 8 GDPR is 13; we nonetheless apply a 16-year threshold as a matter of policy. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it where required.
15. Third-party websites and services
Our website may contain links to third-party websites, plug-ins, social media platforms, payment services, embedded content or applications. These third parties may collect information about you under their own privacy notices. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties, and we encourage you to read their privacy notices.

If you submit reviews, comments, photos, videos, tags or other content to us or post them publicly on social media, that content may be visible to others depending on where it is posted. Please do not submit personal data you do not want to be public.
If we want to use your image, video, review or social media content in our own marketing beyond the original platform’s normal functionality, we will seek permission where required.
