“This is our first model using a lightweight core with half width strips of full length paulownia mixed with poplar and ash stringers, snappy but still damp thanks to the double ash stringers and uni directional carbon stringers and PU-sidewalls. We have created a “sandwich” with incredible impact resistance, impressive tensile strength and durability, while remaining low in weight. You will be amazed how light this board is when picking it up!”

What riders say

“When I got the Descender split for test I was a little sceptic to a new twintip splitboard, even if it felt really light and semi stiff just like I like the boards to be. Could it actually be different then the rest of the twintip splits on the market? After the first splitboard tour in steep and deep powder tree runs I was  impressed. The board was floating easily in powder even with wide duck stance and it was so easy to maneuver through tight trees. Higher up, above the treeline the snow was hard pack and it was no problems to hold  the edge. When we went for a photoshoot in pillowlines and drops I got to test it in proper terrain and then I was totally sold.”

Niklas Hollsten / NM Champ, Finland

“The board is an absolute joy to ride; phenomenal stability, both in the bumps and at speed, and the dampening qualities are out of this world. It had absolutely no problem blasting through the crud of the previous dump and gave the sensation of jumping from mogul to mogul rather than being bounced around. This is the third Stranda board I’ve had the pleasure of riding and the quality is consistently exceptional.”

Tim Wilde / Fernie, B.C

“The Descender. Love at first sight. A versatile board you can push your boundaries with and feel safe. Whether its in the park or freeriding in pow or groomers it really acts stable and gives back great response and control even in high speed. I had the opportunity to run the Descender in the Legendary Banked Slalom at Mt Baker this year, the course is always a challenge and I was happy to have a board that is forgiving and runs through both choppy ice and unexpected soft snow sections.”

Peter Vinter / Sweden

”A really fun board that works for the whole mountain. Grip is there and you can really carve this board, but also play around and have fun on any feature you find. Too sum it up: Fast, on the point and entertaining!!!”

Sofia Lindbergh / Mountainguide, Sweden
